Season: Spring of 12 years ago

Location: Yumenosaki Rooftop

Characters: Jin, Akiomi

Jin: ……

Akiomi: Sagami-senpai~!

So you were at the rooftop after all! What are you doing up here? Uhm… Everyone in Ryuseitai were looking for you, you know?

You’re performing on stage as a member of Ryuseitai today, aren’t you? They are all waiting for you, so you should hurry on and meet them!
akijin

Jin: Oh~, Akiyan… I’m always wondering, but why exactly are you so familiar with my schedule again?

Akiomi: Fufun. It’s because I’m your biggest fan, Sagami-senpai ♪

Jin: Right… But you know, lately I’ve been so busy with work I’ve gotten real exhausted. Honestly, if I closed my eyes right now I’m pretty sure I’d pass out.

So today I’ll just show my face at the live for the very last second, just enough to fulfill my obligations, you know?

Tell the Ryuseitai members that they should just do whatever until then.

Akiomi: Eh~? You should tell them that properly yourself, and not just leave it to me.

Why are you so exhausted already? You’re still young, so you should keep working hard ♪

Jin: Nah~ I’m an old man already… These days there are many kids younger than me, especially women, who are appearing on TV and stuff.

We’re talking about kids who were still wearing their elementary school backpacks up until recently. And now they’re actin’ all grown up, saying stuff like “Let’s work hard together, okay♪”.

It a~lmost feels like we’re playing house, you know?

Taking the job seriously just makes me feel like a fool at this point.

Akiomi: Ahaha. You’re burnt out both physically and mentally aren’t you, Sagami-senpai?

…If that’s what you’ve been going through then I think it’s fine if you skip some of the jobs that don’t particularly interest you.

Though personally speaking, I would want Sagami-senpai to always be shining on stage.

But if that meant you’d end up destroying your body, then there’d be no point in the end.

Jin: What exactly am I to you, Akiyan… You sure have a lot of free time, you should be working hard for your own sake instead of trying to chase after me all the time.

If everyone else could work hard and achieve results then my responsibilities would ease up as well. Why am I the only one expected to do everything, anyways? I don’t get it.

This is an era where even brats who still can’t walk straight are featured on TV. There must be a serious lack of manpower in the entertainment industry.

It’s almost pitiful. Normally kids around that age should be having fun doing stupid things with their friends in school.

And yet, they’re spending their youth working. It’s depressing.

They might be thinking that hard work is the true meaning of youth, but I still feel bad for them.

They’ll probably end up being taken advantage of and thrown away once they’re all worn out, like a used eraser…

Akiomi: …

Jin: Ah… I’m sorry, Akiyan. I always end up venting when I’m with you.

You’re probably also dreaming about becoming an idol, so you wouldn’t want to hear me bitching like this.

Sorry, sorry. Let’s talk about something more fun. Okay so, the other day while I was singing on stage, there was this really hot woman in the audience. She started taking off her clothes right in front of me, and then-

Akiomi: Sagami-senpai.

Jin: Eh, what? Sorry, I forgot how diligent you are. Is sexy talk off-limits as well?

Akiomi: Look, there’s a rainbow.
akijin

Jin: A rainbow? Ah… you’re right. I wonder when the last time I saw a proper rainbow like this was. It’s like the starry sky and the sunset, when you’re busy you don’t really stop to take it in.

So that’s how a rainbow looks. It’s kinda blurry, don’t you think?

Are there even actually seven colors included? I feel like God might have gotten lazy and left a couple out… One, two, three?

Akiomi: Fufu. That reminds me, in Ryuseitai you are Ryusei Rainbow, aren’t you, Sagami-senpai?

Jin: Nn? I guess I am, technically. When I was first brought in to help them out, the members asked me which color I’d prefer…

When I said I’d just take whatever’s left over, I somehow ended up with rainbow.

I’m trying to sell a really boring, down-to-earth vibe, so I don’t feel like the rainbow fits me all that well, though…

Akiomi: Really? I think it fits you perfectly~. Sagami Jin, the super idol shining with seven different colors…✩

…You’re also like a rainbow in how it feels like if I look away for just a second, you might disappear on me.

Jin: Hm~, did you say something? You usually speak in such a loud voice that when you whisper like that, it’s hard to catch.

I’m sorry, but if it was something important, could you say it again?

Akiomi: Not at all, it wasn’t anything important.

You know, I’m pretty fond of rainbows. The gloomy, cloudy sky parts way to reveal a seven-colored bridge as if to celebrate the end of the rain…

It’s like a miracle. It really does fit you perfectly, Sagami-senpai.

Jin: Does it really… As you can tell, I’m like the personification of a gloomy, cloudy sky though?
