Hokuto: …N? What is it, transfer student? You’re laughing, did I say something funny?

 

Hm? Gathering comrades like this is a new experience, so you're having fun…?

 

Fufu. I guess so. By the time you transferred here, most of the students were already members of their units.

 

This would be your first time picking each member for a group project like this, huh.

 

But this is pretty normal work for a producer, you know?

 

Hm. You should get used to it. I was planning to try to do most of the work myself to avoid putting too much of a burden on you. 

 

But I guess I should let you contribute more as a producer.

 

As you know, I wasn’t able to produce results on my own, so I’d like to borrow your strength.

 

N? You were planning to from the start? You’re already invested in this project?

 

You’re right… I guess I was acting distant. It won’t happen again. Shutting you out like that won’t be of any merit to either of us.

 

Right. We still have time to gather allies… I’ll happily accept your assistance.

 

You should treat this as scouting practice. This experience, or rather, any trouble will definitely make you stronger.

Chiaki: Excuse me! I’m running late!

 

Hokuto: Oh? Uhm, we were waiting for you… Morisawa-senpai.

 

Chiaki: Yup! I’ve kept you waiting! Uuuuhm, Hidaka and transfer student, I truly am sorry for being late!

 

Hokuto: Ah, please raise your head. It’s okay, I was talking to the transfer student so I wasn’t bored.

 

Chiaki: Fufu. I see, that’s good. ….You seem like you’re pretty close, huh, holding hands and all!

 

You should probably try to refrain from doing that too much, seeing as you’re different genders and all. You never know who’s watching, right?

 

Hokuto: Ah… the transfer student doesn’t feel like a girl, so I keep forgetting to be careful.

 

Chiaki: What a nonchalantly rude thing to say!

 

Or rather, you see her as your true friend and ally to such an extent that gender differences don’t matter! That’s a nicer interpretation!

 

Hokuto: Thanks for that. Changing topics, I’m sorry to have called you all the way out here. Are you busy, Morisawa-senpai?

 

Chiaki: Yup! I’m pretty busy!

 

Our Ryuseitai is centered around the first-years who are still lacking in experience, and during DDD we unfortunately ended up losing in the first round.

 

We aren’t exactly drowning in work offers either, so I’m running all over looking for clients.

 

And since our juniors don’t know the first thing about idols, I’m trying to passionately teach them from the basics.

 

Even now, I’ve told them to continue their lessons while I go out for a bit, but…

 

I kept needing to intervene and explain things to them and they were reluctant to listen, so I ended up being late.

 

It’s no excuse for my lateness, though. That’s my failure as a senpai.

 

But since I can’t get Kanata to stay in one place, and Mikejima-san seemed like he didn’t want to get involved… I have no choice but to do it myself.

 

Well, it’s pretty fulfilling and fun though, fuhahaha ♪

 

Hokuto: (Hm… Akehoshi keeps badmouthing him so I was kinda worried, but as I thought, Morisawa-senpai seems like a proper person.)

 

(He’s a refreshing and reliable senpai. In this school, that’s actually pretty rare.)

 

Chiaki: N? What’s up, staring at me like that? If you fall in love with me you’ll get burned you know ✰

 

Hokuto: It’s nothing… Rather than that, since you appear to be very busy, I’d like to move onto the main topic.

 

Chiaki: Yup, feel free. I appear to be a bit too fond of speaking.

 

Anyhow, I’m somewhat familiar with the general idea. Project-Saga, was it? It sounds like an interesting proposal.

 

To think that the Sagami-sensei I look up to would make a comeback, it’s like straight out of a dream ♪

 

Hokuto: Oh? You’re familiar with Project-Saga, Morisawa-senpai?

 

Chiaki: Yup. I went to the infirmary with a small injury, and ended up chatting with Sagami-sensei. He mentioned this project alongside our small talk. 

 

It doesn’t seem like there’s any secrecy surrounding the project, so he explained it to me in detail.

 

Sagami-sensei seems uncharacteristically enthusiastic about the project. He mentioned he was working hard and doing vocal lessons and stuff.

 

Hokuto: I see… even that lazy teacher is actually serious for once.

 

In order to not let his hard work go to waste, we need to gather allies who can participate alongside him in the project.

 

Morisawa-senpai, having you by our side would be like having 100 men’s strength.

 

Would you not help us out?

 

Chiaki: Yeah! Sagami-sensei has helped me out a lot, and I owe him and have admired him for a long time!

 

If I can be of any help to him, it’s more than I could ever ask for!

 

Hokuto: Oh… does that mean?

 

Chiaki: Yup! That’s why it’s a real shame, but I have to reject your invitation!

 

Hokuto: …

 

…Huh? Wh, why? Your logic makes no sense!

 

Chiaki: You’re forgetting your honorifics, you know? It’s okay though, let’s be frank with each other! I actually feel lonely when people talk as if we’re strangers!

 

Hokuto: N, never mind that… Why, Morisawa-senpai? I thought for sure you’d want to help out?

 

Honestly speaking, I’m feeling dejected. For a second, my head went blank… Could you please explain your reason for rejecting me?
