<Afternoon of the day after>

kaoru

Kaoru: (…Yesterday’s radio broadcast was a big hit.)

(People were so surprised to see an idol who still felt so passionately about “Vampire Shogun” that we ended up trending on the internet.)

(In spite of the late airing time, the listener numbers apparently went way higher than usual.)

(Thanks to that, I became even more familiar with the plot of “Vampire Shogun” than I was during Succession Match, however.)

(It is a period drama, after all, it could become a good reference for the hero show.)

Sigh, what to do…

Chiaki: Hakaze! What could possibly be the matter, letting out a sigh like that!

Kaoru: Moricchi…

Chiaki: What are you worrying about? If you’re fine with me, I’d like to hear you out!

Kaoru: What am I worried about, huh… Oh, that’s right. I can just ask Moricchi directly.

Since I’ll be participating in the hero show I’d like to play the part properly. But I’m still struggling to learn how to play a hero.

Is there any quick way to become more familiar with heroes?

Chiaki: Hmm… The path of a hero starts with the first step, after all. There are no shortcuts, but-

To learn more about heroes, watching hero shows or sentai dramas is the best method.

For your sake, I can try to find some shows that are suited to your tastes. Which type of hero is your favorite?

Kaoru: Which type of hero, you say… I’m asking you because I have no idea about any of that…

hiiro

Hiiro: Did you say my name?

Kaoru: Woah? Hiiro-kun.

No, we didn’t call for you… or I guess we kinda did. “Hero” and “Hiiro”-kun sound almost indistinguishable.

Chiaki: That’s why I call him “Hero-kun” with both affection and envy…☆

Kaoru: I don’t know if you should be doing that. Right, Hiiro-kun?

Hiiro: I don’t mind at all. It felt kinda weird at first though, I’ll admit. I didn’t know what a hero was until Chiaki-senpai taught me, after all.

By the way, when is the Tokusatsu viewing party? I’ve been looking forward to it ever since you told me about it.

Chiaki: Tokusatsu viewing party…!?

S, sorry. There are so many shows recommended for beginners, so I was going through them one by one looking for some suited for Hero-kun specifically…

I got totally absorbed in the task and ended up forgetting about the viewing party in my euphoria.

Kaoru: Ahaha. Don't worry, Moricchi.

Tokusatsu viewing party, huh… Would it be difficult to pull off today?

It seems like it’ll be beginner-friendly, so it might come in handy. I’d like to participate too if possible.

Chiaki: If we do it at night it should be fine. I’m pretty much done selecting shows after all. How about Hero-kun?

Hiiro: I don’t mind. I didn’t know a Tokusatsu viewing party could be planned like this. Thank you, Kaoru-senpai.

Kaoru: I’m the one who should thank you. Well then, see you tonight.

<Night of that day, Theater Room in Starmony Dorm>

kaoru

Kaoru: Sorry to keep the two of you waiting.

Hiiro: Kunkun… I smell a sweet scent, as if someone was roasting plant seeds.

Kaoru: That’s a weird way of putting it. It’s popcorn, have you never had it before?

It’s an absolute must for this kind of thing. The movies you watch while eating popcorn are the best♪

Chiaki: Ooh, Hakaze is so considerate.

Kaoru: Fufun. Since I ended up invading the viewing party you’ve been planning, this is the least I can do.

So then, what’s the lineup like?

Chiaki: Ah, since all three of us are here, let’s go over them.

Look! This is the “Tokusatsu DVD collection” we’ll be watching today…☆

Kaoru: …Eh, isn’t that a lot? It’s like a small mountain, did you limit it down at all?

Chiaki: Of course! I had a hard time choosing which to pick and which to leave out!

Well then, let’s start the Tokusatsu viewing party! First up is the ancestor of all hero shows, Moon*ight Mask*…☆

<A little while later>

Hiiro: Chiaki-senpai, the heroes are in a huge pinch!

hiiro+chiaki

Chiaki: Did you forget, Hero-kun? I’m sure I told you what you should do in a situation like this!

Hiiro: Oh right, we should cheer them on!

Chiaki: That’s right!

Kaoru: No, no. This isn’t a hero show, let’s watch in silence.

Chiaki: Weren’t you going to use this as a reference for the hero show? Cheering them on will help you understand the children who want to cheer us on, Hakaze!

Kaoru: Eeh…

Hiiro: Don’t give in, hero! …Come on, Kaoru-senpai too!

Kaoru: D, don’t give in~….

Chiaki: What’s wrong, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about? This theatre room is completely soundproof, after all.

Now, now, don’t hesitate! Shout out from the bottom of your heart ☆

Kaoru: Moricchi and Hiro-kun’s eyes are so filled with expectations, it hurts… Ugh, I’ve got it already.

Do your best, hero….!
